Abuja, FCT — April 3, 2022Africa Chamber of Digital Commerce (ACOFDC) announces co-chairs of the EAF Ad-hoc Committee for the Emergent Africa Forum coming up in September.

Dr. Badewa Adejugbe-Williams and Ms Misky Abshir have been appointed as Co-Chairs of the 2022 EAF Ad-hoc committee, a strategic committee dedicated to lead preparations for the 2022 edition of Emergent Africa Forum, provide innovative suggestions and dynamic perspectives for a successful EAF and also set the development agenda for the forum to be the most high-profile and comprehensive emerging tech summit of the decade.

The co-chairs will enhance the chamber’s focus on accelerating inclusive digital economy and tech investment into Africa and diaspora nations as entrenched in our mission to create a digital economy that enhances trade and supports job creation mechanisms. They will be working closely with all departments to accelerate the actualization of the vision and mission of the chamber.

Dr. Badewa Adejugbe-Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of Ladama Consultancy LLC (America/ Nigeria) and the Coordinator of Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS). She brings her wealth of experience to her new role of providing strategic leadership in the planning, coordination and implementation of the EAF. She comes to us with several years of project management experience, specifically in stage/event management and advocacy, where she has dedicated more than 20 years in a wide variety of professional capacities in both the private, public and non-governmental sectors. Dr. Badewa will be overseeing the Communication and Public/Government Sector.

Misky Abshir is a Software Engineer at the Bank of New York Mellon and a founding partner of Noma Capital-an early stage investment facilitator dedicated to bridging the Early-Stage Investment Gap in Africa especially among women. Misky brings to her new role her wealth of experience and reach in the tech and investment ecosystems of America and the continent of Africa. She comes to the committee determined to create supportive space for next-generation founders, solution seekers, heads of states and governments across Africa. Ms Misky will be overseeing Corporate Sponsorship and Partnerships.
